AnimalSupport.org encourages all people with an interest in animal welfare to join theHumane Society, the nation’s largest association for animal protection and its mission “Celebrating Animals, Confronting Cruelty.”

“The Humane Society provides much needed help for animals in the United States and around the world,” says Julian Omidi, co-founder of AnimalSupport.org. “Through the efforts of the Humane Society, thousands of abused and neglected animals have been rescued and adopted into happy homes. We would like everyone who owns a pet or just loves animals to lend their support to this amazing organization.”

Currently, the main initiatives of the Humane Society are about industrial animal farming, pet sale, the use of animals for sport, and the maintenance of wildlife environments. Through their programs devoted to the wellbeing of animals, the Humane Society has created wildlife centers and sanctuaries, exposed the cruel treatment of animals in puppy mills and farms, and funded shelters and adoption programs for abandoned and abused pets.

“The Humane Society of the United States has tremendous influence over both public policy and private practice,” says Julian Omidi. “Not only did it influence the passing of the federal Animal Welfare Act, it consistently persuades private businesses to give up cruel animal practices. We all owe a debt to the HSUS for its dedication to increasing public awareness of animal suffering.”

The Humane Society of the United States (http://www.humanesociety.org) is the nation’s largest animal protection organization and was rated the most effective by its peers. Since 1954, the HSUS has fought for the protection of all animals through advocacy, education, and hands-on programs. It rescues and cares for tens of thousands of animals each year, but the primary mission is to prevent cruelty before it occurs. The HSUS seeks a humane and sustainable world for all animals—a world that also benefits people. As America’s mainstream force against cruelty, exploitation and neglect, it is the most trusted voice extolling the human-animal bond.

AnimalSupport.org was co-founded by Julian Omidi and his brother Michael Omidi with the mission of ending animal abuse by recommending charities and organizations that fight to stop this horrific practice. This website will soon contain a network of resources committed to animal protection, rescue and adoption.
