Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi, brothers and co-founders of AnimalSupport.org have joined forces with dog rescue and adoption organization Ace of Hearts. Pet overpopulation statistics are alarming and countless animals are euthanized. Animal Support and Ace of Hearts encourage adoption volunteers to “change your life by saving a life.”

“Change your life by saving a life.”

Animal Support extends its support to Ace of Hearts, a dog rescue organization dedicated to saving dogs from euthanasia. Ace of Hearts is dedicated to saving all of the more than 500 dogs that are set to be killed in Los Angeles County shelters every day.

“Animal Support is thrilled to sponsor this great foundation, and we endorse Ace of Heart’s humane philosophy with regard to shelter dogs,” says Julian Omidi, co-founder of Animal Support.

Since its inception, Ace of Hearts has rescued, trained, rehabilitated and provided loving homes to more than 2,000 shelter dogs. Founded by dog lover Kari Whitman in 2001 after her own rescue dog“Ace” passed away, Ace of Hearts lobbies for protection of shelter dogs, and for the reduction of the animal population via mandatory spaying and neutering. Ace of Hearts does not have a centralized shelter facility, but instead relies upon a network of homes and contacts that are willing to house, socialize and care for rescued animals until they are adopted.

In addition to rescuing Los Angeles County shelter dogs, Ace of Hearts has taken in pets displaced by Hurricane Katrina, worked to rehabilitate and retrain “bully breeds” that other services will not handle (breeds that have been specifically bred to demonstrate high levels of aggression) and provide spay and neuter information and outreach programs, so that all pet owners protect the health and wellbeing of their pets by having them sterilized.

AnimalSupport.org is dedicated to protecting the welfare of animals by recommending charities and organizations that fight to stop animal abuse and cruelty. This website will soon contain a network of resources committed to animal protection, rescue and adoption.
