More than 2,000 incidents of animal cruelty, neglect, and abandonment are reported every year, but no one believes that is the full story. These are reports of abuse by private pet owners only and do not include the questionable treatment of animals by under-regulated enterprises such as pet stores, zoos, circuses and farms. Our goal at Animal Support is to help educate the American populace about the need to protect these voice-less creatures that provide us with love and companionship and remind us of the inherit beauty and value of all creation.

Animal lovers everywhere can come to this new website at animalsupport.org to get the real story and the facts about pet overpopulation, puppy mills, and other means of animal suffering. Information about the proper care and feeding of pets – including birds, dogs, cats and horses – is also provided with tips about how to enhance human/animal relationships.

Among the many ways that pet lovers everywhere can become involved in stopping pet abuse is by reporting all instances of abuse and neglect. Even if the abuse is merely suspected, reporting is crucial in order for an official investigation to be waged on the pet’s behalf. As individuals become more aware of the seriousness of pet abuse and neglect, information must also be shared with others so that a collective consciousness surrounding this serious issue is raised.

AnimalSupport.org is dedicated to bringing awareness to animal abuse by recommending charities and organizations that fight to stop this horrific practice. This website will soon contain a network of resources committed to animal protection, rescue and adoption. If you would like to join the fight to end animal abuse and neglect or would like more information about Animal Support, please send a message using the website’s Contact Us function.
