Animal Support cofounders Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi are new supporters of the rescue efforts and animal welfare programs of MuttNation Foundation.
The charity Animal Support and its cofounding trio Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi are new supporters of the animal rescue organization, MuttNation. The like-minded charities are excited to assist shelters and animal assistance organizations by providing spay and neuter programs, medical treatments, adoptions, preventions, transportation, legislative changes, and education.
“MuttNation organizes a variety of very creative programs and annual events all of which benefit animal and pet welfare across America,” says Julian Omidi, cofounder of Animal Support. “We are exceedingly pleased to support the many successes of this organization which protects and ensures the health and happiness of our furry friends within loving, adoptive homes.”
MuttNation Foundation was formed by Miranda Lambert, the reigning four-time Female Vocalist of the Year for the County Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. Daily operations are directed by Bev Lambert, Miranda’s mother, including these successful promotions:
- Tailwaggin’ Tailgate Parties that coincide with Miranda’s tour stops and introduce 30-40 adoptable animals from local shelters to concertgoers and the public.
- The Paws team (Pawsitively Famous), comprised of Miranda’s Fan-Volunteers, who administer medical aid and spay/neuter services to pets across the U.S. for families who cannot afford a needed surgery or treatment to save or enhance the life of their pet.
- The R.A.C.E team (Ran’s Animal Care Express), also the work of Miranda’s Fans, who volunteer to transport pets around the U.S., delivering them to newly adoptive, long distance homes.
- The Tour for Life, a mobile unit that facilitated more than 1500 adoptions in 16 states and 33 cities in 2012 and is sponsored by the North Shore Animal Leagues.
In addition, MuttNation also provides ongoing support to many pet shelters, hospitals and rescue organizations nationwide. Emergency response efforts, such as helping to rescue pets displaced by this year’s Oklahoma tornadoes, are another important life-saving activity of the foundation.
MuttNation Foundation (http://www.facebook.com/MuttNation) has successfully raised money across the country to aid organizations and governmental institutions or entities that build animal shelters for better care, increase pet adoption and encourage responsible pet guardianship, rehabilitate sick or unsocialized animals, fund spay/neuter programs, reduce/eliminate euthanasia of healthy animals, and train shelter dogs for purposes of therapy programs, assistance for wounded military personnel, and dogs-in-prisons programs. As a family operated 501(c)3 organization, the goal of MuttNation is to have every donated dollar assist animals in need.
Animal Support (animalsupport.org) is dedicated to addressing pet overpopulation and abuse by promoting charities working on behalf of animal well-being. The organization was founded by brothers Dr. Michael Omidi and Julian Omidi to advocate for animal protection, rescue, adoption, and spay and neuter laws. Animal Support does not accept donations but encourages direct contributions of money and talents to the charities and organizations featured on our website.
